I know we’re more than a week into 2020 but Happy New Year (better late than never)! Here’s a quick outline of what I’ve got planned for the next 12 months.
Real-Life Magic
My YouTube project is FINALLY going to get off the ground. The first videos have been filmed, a logo has been designed it’s just a matter of editing it together and getting it out there. The concept is taking magic skills and applying them to real-life situations in a fun way. It’s been really fun to make so far and I can’t wait for people to see it so keep your eyes peeled! Promo Video
Sticking with video projects, I’ve filmed a new promo video / showreel and it is currently in the process of being edited and polished so that will be out VERY soon. Say goodbye to the youthful chap with lovely blonde hair in my current promo video and witness Scoop ten years on, with my distinguished wrinkles and shiny bald head!
Wedding Fairs
2020 has already seen me make my first appearance at a wedding fair and this is something I’ll be doing quite a lot of, particularly over the first few months of the year. So if you are planning your wedding and are looking for some memorable entertainment, or if you just fancy some free samples of cake and prosecco, why not come and see me and I’ll be happy to show you a bit of what I do.
Restaurant Magic
This is something I’ve actually been quietly working on for a while without success but this year I’m going to make a concerted effort to get myself a residency doing magic at a restaurant. If you know someone who runs an eatery and you think it would benefit from some mind-blowing entertainment then please pass there contact details to me or my details to them and hopefully I’ll be dishing up a full menu of surprises and fun before 2021.
New Material
I’m always adding to my repertoire, a lot of new tricks are learned every year but only a few make it into my regular set. Last year’s new tricks included an amazing trick with a balloon which helps people who are celebrating to have an even better time and a bridal card trick which leaves newlyweds with a beautiful moment and an amazing souvenir. I’ve also started doing an incredible stunt with fire and ice as well as an impossible feat with WikiPedia. In 2020 all these effects will be honed and improved upon and I’ll also be trying to divine people’s phone PIN and make them forget how to read. Fun times!
I’ll still be performing close-up magic and cabaret shows at weddings, parties, corporate events, holiday parks and other venues up and down the country so hopefully I’ll see you soon but if not I hope you have a great 2020 and all your plans come to fruition and as Mark Twain said: New Year is the time to make your annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.
